He earned his master’s degree in computer science and his PhD in computational linguistics from the University of Warsaw, and later completed his habilitation at the Polish Academy of Sciences.
His research focuses on natural language processing (NLP), corpus linguistics, and computational analysis of discourse and coreference, with a particular emphasis on tools and resources for Polish and other languages. He has led and contributed to numerous national and international projects and is known for his work on large-scale linguistic resources, such as parliamentary and coreference corpora, as well as on shared evaluation campaigns for language technology tasks.

Franceska Frontini holds a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Pavia, Italy. From 2010 to 2014, she was a post-doctoral researcher at the Istituto di Linguistica Computazionale "A. Zampolli", CNR, Pisa. In 2014 and 2015, she was an incoming FMSH Fellow at Labex Obvil, University Pierre et Marie Curie, LIP6, Paris. In 2015 and 2016, she became a researcher at the ILC "A. Zampolli", and from 2016 to 2020, she was an Associate Professor at the Université Paul Valéry - Montpellier 3 and a member of the Praxiling Laboratory. Her research interests are Language resources, NLP, and Digital humanities.
